Projection Designer: Poulenc's Le travail du peintre

One of the forms I feel most passionate about is recital repertoire, particularly song cycle. The fantastic collaborative pianist Nora Pertz reached out to me in regards to designing for Poulenc’s song cycle, where each movement is titled and inspired by a cubist painter. Deconstructing each painting and animating it for mezzo soprano Marie Engle’s performance was a joy. Special thanks to Nora's professor for providing advice and scholarship for the imagery.
