I had the joy to engineer and design Yale Opera's two evenings of opera scenes. Eight scenes were presented - from Nozze di Figaro, Beatrice et Benedict, Capuleti e Montecchi, Aleko, Florencia en el Amazonas, Rondine, Billy Budd, and Pirates of Penzance. Scenes averaged ~40 minutes of length per scene.

I was accepted to be part of the inaugural Opera Hack event, sponsored by Opera America and hosted by San Diego Opera and Microsoft.

The weekend event brought together ~50 engineers, designers, performers, and directors to discuss and propose novel approaches to production and performance in opera. The participants...

I had the joy to give a talk on projection design in classical music alongside my mentor Wendall K. Harrington, as part of Tanglewood Festival’s ShopTalks at their new Linde Center for Music & Learning.

As part of the Yale Opera Spring double bill, directed by Dustin Wills, I had the chance to be the projection designer for a performance of Menotti's 'Old Maid and the Thief' and Stravinsky's 'Le Rossignol' (The Nightingale).

As my third collaboration with Opera Theater of Yale College, I designed set projections for the opera Tender Land by Aaron Copland. Projections, in this case, allowed to create the time of day and visual world. It was a treat to have a blank fabric and canvas in creating the skies for the space.

The team for this s...

Thanks to Davis Butner, I was invited to collaborate on the interdisciplinary installation “Sounding Sacred”, which looked at acoustics in sacred spaces of various faith traditions. Davis, as well as Evan Sale and Isabel Balda were the graduate students in the Yale School of Architecture that spearheaded the projec...

I remember first creating poster/marketing images for Yale Opera's production of "Eugene Onegin" (with the handwriting being from one of Tchaikovsky's letters!), but it wasn't until I ran into Edward Morris, the set and projection designer for this production, that I became involved in helping. In assisting, I prim...
