Awarded: Design & Production and Stage Direction Assistantship [Oberlin in Italy, Arezzo 2017]

I'm excited to announce that I became a recipient of the Design & Production and Stage Direction Assistantship for the 2017 Oberlin in Italy Program in Arezzo, Italy and accepted the contract for the full month of July and first week of August. The Assistantship includes a stipend and the full cost of housing and workshops.

My responsibilities will include being Assistant stage director for Handel's Serse, directing scenes for the Emerging Artist Division under Dr. Skiba, participating in workshop and masterclasses, and production crew duties on Don Giovanni, Le Astuzie Femminili, and Gala Concert.

In addition to helping with the Italian language, I am looking forward for the opportunity to collaborate alongside professionals and students in the production of these operatic works. Helping others in the preparation and presentation/performance of classical works, specifically baroque (cannot wait for Handel!), is definitely what I'd like to dedicate my (language, tech, and music) skills and life to. Cannot wait for the opportunity - and in my home country!
