Soloist in: Handel Society's Chichester Psalms

On November 15, the Handel Society of Dartmouth presented a program that included the premiere of Dominick DiOrio’s I Tell the Story, works by Arvo Pärt, Erik Ešenvalds, and Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms with orchestra. The concert was presented in the Hopkins Center for the Arts' Spaulding Auditorium and was conducted by Dr. Bob Duff.

I had the pleasure of being one of the quartet soloists for the Chichester Psalms. Another highlight was getting to play water glasses on stage during Ešenvalds' Stars! I also definitely fell in love with his Te Deum..

In addition, DiOrio's piece stood out as such a highlight of the evening and, in rehearsal, he was one of the kindest composers I've seen collaborate with a group on a premiere.

In short, my first concert with this 210-year-old ensemble was such a joy!
