The visual elements of theatrical storytelling (lighting, sound, video, and costume) can
help us become a layer of accessibility to an audience, and can invite creators into the music community.
In terms of need, it is increasing in demand.
In American universities, there is no existing degree certificate (or professional program) that creates
a learning ground for musicians and designers to learn from each other.
Art is collaborative. Whose voices are we uplifting? Are we empowering artists with the tools and
collaborators for their vision?
